Preparing the next generation to understand, question, and shape AI responsibly.
As the UK's independent body for responsible AI, the British AI Society believes that shaping the future of AI doesn't stop at boardrooms and policy tables, it starts in classrooms. We have a responsibility to the next generation of minds, and we take that seriously.
The British AI Society works directly with secondary schools to build genuine AI literacy, not hype, but honest understanding of how AI works, what it can and can't do, and why the decisions behind it matter.
Our programmes are currently in beta, running with students aged 13 to 15, and are built around three areas:
Foundational knowledge of what AI is, how it's built, and where it's already shaping everyday life.
Exploring the ethics, risks, and governance questions that every future citizen and professional will need to navigate.
Helping young people see where they could play a role in building and governing AI in Britain.
We're not scaling for the sake of it. We're building something rigorous, and we're starting small so we get it right.
